Michael Mash

Michael A. Mash is the Laboratory Manager and Research Associate II at DxDiscovery. Michael earned a BS in Molecular Microbiology & Immunology and a BS/MS in Biotechnology from the University of Nevada, Reno in May of 2017. During the University of Nevada, Reno academic school year of 2016-2017, Michael conducted an internship with DxDiscovery working on biomarker discovery for Lyme Disease as part of a Master of Science’s project. Following graduation, Michael conducted two separate government sponsored fellowships; the APHL-CDC Infectious Diseases Fellowship stationed at the North Carolina State Laboratory of Public Health (NCSLPH) and an ORISE fellowship with the USDA-APHIS at Plum Island Animal Disease Center (PIADC). During these opportunities, Michael acquired experiences working with different infectious diseases (viral, bacterial, and fungal), as well as methodologies used in clinical settings. Michael returned to DxDiscovery in May of 2019 and has facilitated its continued growth towards providing reliable point-of-care diagnostics for underserved diseases.
